The screen printed abstract images from Berlin based illustrator and graphic designer Damien Tran.
Whether its an abstract, multi coloured screen print, a well designed single colour palette publication or playing with image and text for a gig poster, Damien Tran offers up an eclectic mix of style and direction within his work. The Berlin based artist shows off his clean and sometimes quite intricate designs with his new series of gig posters all of which have a mixed media approach. Layered collage, painting, scraps of paper and quick to-the-point pencil marks come together in a final screen printed outcome to produce a striking poster sure to catch anyones eye. Evidently this is why Damien was chosen to produce the poster work for Into The Great Wide Open festival, Letra Tone festival and a handful of events and club nights around Berlin this year.
Of course this high level of work doesn’t come new to Damien as he along with Marion Jdanoff run Palefroi, a graphic design, illustration and print studio in Berlin. The studio is home to all of Damien and Marion’s work, their collaborations together and with other artists on publications and posters.
